She was searching for something.

Her short brown hair blew in the strong wind as she stepped laboriously towards the water.

You could see it on her face. She needed to find it.

She dropped to her knees, crying, desperately searching through the rocks for any sign that it was there.

"She said to find it. I need to find it!" She screamed, her body shaking from her violent crying.

She was wearing a red, pink and white dress. The sky was clear, empty. Across the water, far off into the distance, there was a city. Here, however, there was nobody. Here, she was alone.

The sound of the waves crashing against the rocks beside her almost drowned out the sound of her violent crying. Almost drowned out her attempts to find what she needed.

"She said I needed to find it!" She screamed through her crying. "Mom. I failed you. I can't find it. I'm sorry." She stood up, ran forwards, and dived into the water. She never came back up.

On the bank beside her, a piece of paper had fallen out of a pocket on her dress. Written on the paper was four words.

"Find happiness. Love, Mom."
