She was always hiding in her lonely shell

Careful not to attract attention and tell

Her story of sadness to people who don’t dare

“They will never understand. They will never care.”

She can’t tell if she’s happy

Or sad, or angry, maybe lonely

Sometimes she’s just content with her lackluster self

Like a book that never got out of its shelf

But she wanted someone to read her pages

Be interested and stay with her for ages

In her heart she’s hoping it could happen

But her mind told her she’s daydreamin’

One day someone took a peek

Of her lonesome world so to speak

She was thrilled for this new feeling

She finally opened her heart swiftly beating

“I never knew I am capable of feeling this!”

“I would take any risk, won’t take a miss.”

She danced gracefully together with her newly found friend

Smiled brightly wishing it will never end.
