It was 12am, I woke up after a huge smash rang through the empty halls of my house. I got out of my bed. When I got up, I felt almost Ill, like...nauseous. I took a peek out of my bedroom door, which was in front of the stairs, and I could see movement... but it wasn’t normal movement... it like someone was swinging something.

When I stepped out my door, the floorboard squeaked, and the movement stopped. I looked down the stairs and nothing was there... no movement...no smashing. I continued down the stairs half asleep when I felt pressure on my shoulder, like a hand, but when I turned around, nobody was there.

I turned the light on Thinking it was nothing, I didn’t feel nauseous anymore. I grabbed my parent’s laptop and searched online, “can ghosts cause nausea.” It said yes. As soon as I closed the laptop, I felt as if someone was watching me.

The dining room door was broken and we had tea towels on top to keep the door closed when shut, but I saw the knob move as it opened up to reveal...just darkness. I shut the door and silently crept up the stairs and as I reached the top I heard a voice soft as silk, like a mothers voice, “it’s me...”

Slightly freaked out I got into bed and fell asleep. I had a dream of my wrists being slit open by a woman who talked very softly. But when I woke up, my bedsheets were covered in blood, I looked at my wrists and they were bandaged up with duct tape. I tried to move but I couldn’t, I tried to call for help but I couldn’t, my door opened, I could only follow the door with my eyes. A woman came in said with a voice soft as ever, “it’s me, all the time you were walking downstairs, I watched, only thing I could say is...it’s me... you are about to leave so...¬SAY GOODBYE¬
