I am going to expound on my ideals, opinions and findings on this new gender trend that has swept this modern day and age.

Principal Idea #1: Let’s Not ignore Biology just yet

A gender, in order to be proven legitimate, needs to fit a biological or psychological and social category and not only emotional. Basically what this means is that a gender can be accepted and legitimized if it favors to the ultimate goal of any living species. That is to reproduce, or like an advance social animal like ourselves, adopt. A gender should be able to produce a couple. It does not necessarily need to be a couple that can perform reproduction like the straight kind, but a couple that is loving and wiling to have a family, in the form of a surrogate or in adoption of a child. In this case F and M, along with the LGBTQA identities have been proven fit to support normal family life as they would with normal relationships.

Biology should both be and should not be a key factor in this. Okay let me explain. In terms of love, social and cultural acceptance and gender identity, the fact of their original gender identity should not define them; in terms of their roles in the family towards their spouse and children, there are certain things only a woman is physically and biologically capable of doing, so as with a man.

Principal Idea #2: The Psychology of the Matter

The effects of transitioning into a new gender or coming out to pursue a new gender identity have adverse effects on the human psyche, both negative and positive. On the positive side, staying true to your self has euphoric effects that come with acceptance and authenticity of the self. The positive mental effects usually come from within and from the acceptance being felt. The negative effects are usually the aftermath of discrimination, usually from the community and ironically, sometimes from the very same source wherein support and acceptance would come from otherwise; the family.

So with all this being said, there are also various emotional effects that follow. The psyche and human emotions are tied together by many strings and if one factor where to pluck the psychological string that leads up to it, it would affect the emotions and vice versa. This is why emotions and psychology are rarely separate on the matter. So the idea is: that what you feel can change your train of thought. Certain emotions, when pressed of triggered can lead to adverse mental red flags that can lead to devastatingly rash decisions. These decisions have caused stress, self-harm and suicide, out of many others.

Now on to the bigger picture, gender is a vast term. The duality of the term is what makes it confusing for both those who are against the idea and those who are for it. An example of these people would be easily accessible with just one click on your Tumblr app. Put in the hash tags #gender and #issue, and lo and behold, you will find amongst legitimate gender arguments, an array of the ignoramus who do not understand this duality of gender. It can mean the literal biological sex and the identity people wish to categorize themselves with. Take note, gender identity is not sexual identity. Those are two very different things.

The Duality of Gender

These, as said can mean the literal biological sex or the identity that people wish to be known as. They can be known both as one term. In the case of sexual identity, worded loosely; it can apply to your lustful and carnal desires only. Gender identity is different; for not only would you like to elope with chosen gender, you embody the gender you identify as.

(Short section for a fairly understandable point I hope)

And now, onwards to my favorite part: The ridicule and criticisms! (From yours truly)

I am not going to focus much on the homophobes, for they are and entire essay on their own. Rather, I’ll focus on those who I hate more than ever and yet feel obliged to watch over; the ignoramus. They say they are for this and yet to not understand the concept, or are like the ignorant SJW’s I so truly despise. I personally recognize and legitimize a handful of identities, namely LGBTQA (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer and Androgynous). But there are some proposed genders that do not make any fundamental sense or are completely unnecessary for their meaning is cancelled out by the aforementioned identities.

Put in the most basic terminology of internet slang, if I were to categorize this insanity, I would in a way categorize them as “Tumblr genders”. I am very sure that any internet surfer that comes across my essay is familiar with this phenomenon. Let’s talk surfer to surfer: The genders listed on many tumblrs do not fall under the category of gender identity, but rather sexual identity, their definitions often include “attracted to”, and that alone does not validate a gender or gender identity. If anything they are re conglomerations or complicated re boots of again, the aforementioned legitimate genders and identities.

And one more thing to add, gender is a matter of identity on whom to love and what to be seen as. Sometimes, when the list of these “tumblr genders” expands, the so called genders are floating away from the essential meaning of the term. For example, I am to butcher these certain new genders that have landed on the internet’s roster.

Anxiegender– A gender affected by anxiety.

Writing this term down, Microsoft Word underlined it with a red line, so that’s one clear indication not to take it seriously. As I said, mentality is key in the gender process, but your mental state is not a valid ground to base a gender out of.

Apagender– A feeling of apathy toward one’s gender that causes one to have no desire to look further into it.

What the actual fuck? This doesn’t even remotely skim the lines of identity or sexuality! Again, not a valid ground to base a gender out of.

Apogender– A subset of agender in which you feel not only genderless, but entirely removed from the concept of gender.

Note that agenderism is androgyny in a way, for at time they feel unattached to anyone, but this usually just phase in adolescence that goes away with a sudden crush or something. That is the only thing that makes sense with the nonsense up above.

Among all these, we can conclude why gender is such an issue nowadays, not only because of the outside influences, but from within as well. This sticks to my very firm and unwavering philosophy, a variation of it at least; a selfish man should not be part of a cause. A selfish fool should never be part of a cause.
