I wear a tie to work

Not because I have to

But because I don't.

My tie annoys my peers

And confuses management

Who does he think he is?

For me that's the point

I choose to wear the tie

Because I think

This thin piece of fabric

Is another layer

Between them and me.

Nothing gets through

This shirt and tie

My office armour.
