On Guard

Don’t come any closer or at you I’ll have to charge,

we’re claiming this here territory, it isn’t very large.

There aren’t so many of us, you’ve all seen to that,

when you come out with your rifles and those things that you call hats.

You’ve conducted some mass slaughter, made us almost disappear,

but now we’re gonna fight right back and you had better fear.

Those things that you drive here in won’t stand even a chance

When I run at you with my head down, my horn just like a lance.

I’ll pick you up and toss you aside without a moments thought

because this is the way to fight that by you we’ve been taught.

I’m really just the sentry, when I call the troops will come,

I’m giving you a warning and allowing you to run.

That’s not what you have done with us, there really is no doubt

that if it wasn’t for your sport and greed we’d not be dying out.

Don’t expect no pity if you dare to trespass here --

the rhinos have reclaimed this land and us you’d better fear.
