Listen --- listen --- listen

Do you hear

The sounds of water dripping

Creating another fear?

A fear of rhythmic heartbeats

That are silenced by a tear.

Listen, listen, listen,

Do you hear?

Look --- look --- look

At visions of humanity

And perceptions of worldly gods

Void of divinity.

Their hope forms like darkened clouds

Raining teardrops all the day

Then clouds of faith rise up next

But are quickly blown away.

Look --- look --- look

They all say.

Talk --- talk --- talk

Explain the thrills of yesterday

The loves and the tragedies

That were somehow painted gray.

And then there were the sleepless nights

That thunder in each ear

Becoming perpetual heartbeats

Like the echoes of a tear.

Talk --- talk --- talk

Then you'll hear.
