This is about grief, whether that be in response to a death or a form of separation. It was something that struck me in response to an assortment of events that happened all around the same time in my life.

It’s strange I find,

When people tell me

“I can’t wrap my head around it.”

There’s this weird sense

Of uncertainty,

An air of lostness that surrounds it.

And I suppose

It’s different for some

Whose brains block and disallow it,

But all I know

Is my head is clear,

It’s my heart that can’t get round it.
