it finally happened. She dropped the happy act she put on at school, her fake smile fading to a thin emotionless line. It broke. tears started forming in her crystal blue eyes as she read the final text she'd ever receive. She knew her life was far too good to be true. Everything she had feared and dreaded was starting to fall into place and it almost seemed like the world shattered more and more with each step she took. She walked into the empty bathroom, barely able to keep the tears from rolling down her cheeks. In the mirror she could see her face which she thought, with every look, was uglier and uglier. Her mascara and eyeliner she worked on for hours to look okay for school was rolling down with her tears as she gently pushed her smooth, violet hair out of her eyes and let out a silent sigh. she had enough. She broke. Her reality was just a lie and she knew what was going to happen next. Gentle footsteps padded closer to the door and she quickly headed for a stall. holding her breath as the footsteps became a gentle voice filling the room. It was one of her classmates. Without notice she had been gone for half the period and she had no intent on heading back. The student opened the bathroom door and knocked gently on the stall door, "are you okay?" they asked shyly. unsure of what to say, she continued to hold her breath and hoped they would go away. Soon enough they did, and she was alone once more.
