Sandra could stand it no longer, the smell of the ocean spray drew her closer. Plunging in, the current towed her out into the deep. Panic swept over her as she desperately fought the current.

Exhausted she began to sink below the surface. Her friend Andrew woke from his nap on the beach shouting for Sandra and running along the beach looking for her. A crowd gathered to help him, but no one had seen what happen.

Sandra struggled hard and managed to gasp a breath of air between swells on the rough sea. All she could see was a wall of water, and then darkness as the next crushing wave swallowed her. She felt something hit her leg and struggled again to get to the surface.

Andrew feared she had gone into the water, she joked about going swimming before he dozed off, ignoring her rambling.

All of a sudden it returned hitting behind both legs and pushing hard. She could feel the rush of water pulling at her skirt with her arms limp and dragging behind her exhausted body. Breaking through the waves, her feet landing softly on the beach.
