Write a poem from picture challenge..

Down in New Orleans

Near the riverboat scene

In a big white house

Sits the voo doo queen

Monique Toussaint is her name

Love potions bubble

Lives in rubble

Everyone says she's to blame

Rich man, poor man

Beggar man, thief

Customers clamor

For Monique's relief

French and African

Dreadlock crown

Holding court

In a velvet gown

"Venez ici"

Arms open wide

She beckons you

To come inside

Rags to riches

Herbs of witches

Corn husk dolls

With lips in stitches

Bottles green

Elixirs black

Cross Monique

You won't come back

She got the gris gris

the juju, the voo doo

Walkin' with the power

To hit you with the hoo-doo

Nightmares fly

In troubled sleep

Teardrops fall

As women weep

She got the power

In the midnight hour

To bring your future down

So be careful

Down there in New Orleans

Stay out of the path of

The voo-doo queen
