I see you everyday

But I see only what you want me to.

I see a mask that clouds you

But that is all you are willing to reveal.

You wear your chaos on the inside where no one can see it.

I see a thousand tears behind that one beautiful smile.

You wear strength and darkness equally well

I see half-Goddess, half-hell in you.

Your mind is a kingdom of unmappped mysteries

You continue to serve my mind a sense of enigma.

They say that behind the most beautiful eyes,

Lay secrets darker and deeper than the ocean.

I now know that some people feel unhappiness the same way that some others feel love:

Privately, intensely and without recourse.

But I often wonder,

Do they love you

Or the mask that you wear everyday?
