Jargonism

You muddle me with jargon,

With all these obscure words;

I’m left with trying to understand

Just what I have heard.

I’m confused by all these descriptions,

By all these special terms;

You are speaking in a language

That I will never learn.

Is jargon something created

To put me in my place,

If I don’t know what you’re trying to say

How can I save face?

I’m blinded by these phrases

That you love to use so much,

Perhaps I have been left behind

By techno-speak and such.

Give me the words used commonly,

The ones more understood;

If you want me to know just what you said

I really think you should.

I like to keep things simple,

Complexity’s no fun;

If it’s hard to read what’s written

I’ll simply just move on!
