How we take for granted Existence, love, and light When they go we dwell on them Now that they're out of sight

How easily forgotten Are people, left behind By fast cars and faster time Generations out of mind

Right now we are hurting For a presence deeply missed Our hearts are aching where you've touched them Cheeks burning where you've kissed

It is hard to say goodbye Although you've already said it When life chooses to let someone go You have to let it

Wherever you are, please think of us We will always think of you Until we too must pass life by To welcome something new
