I was a young mother of two, happy and I had my own apartment. One morning I was nudged awake by an old friend whom I known had long since passed away.

He told me "Get up,I need to show you something...hurry".

I yawned, stretched and asked him "what are you doing here?".

He ignored my question and repeated his order to hurry. Must've been important, I sensed an urgency in his voice.

"Well, I can't leave my kids here alone",I protested.

"They'll be fine, I promise, I just need you to step outside and hurry ".

Oh well in that case..ok. But outside stretched for miles out into an open field near the apartments I lived in. Everyone that lived there was standing outside talking excitedly amongst each other. Chaos.

From afar looked like there was a tornado trying to form in the sky.The ground began to violently shake and rumble. As I walked with my friend, he led me out into the field where others had gathered around this lady dressed in white. Her hair was cropped so short, I mistook her for a man. She heard my thoughts because aside from all the crying, begging and pleading going on around her she turned to look my way and smiled.

I turned to my friend and asked him what was the reason for him bringing me out here. He was gone. So I stood there in the middle of the masses with the numbers growing. Why were we all out here and why was everyone freaking out?

This lady had a huge heavy book in her hands. People were crying and begging for her to look up their names and see if they were in it. The dark ominous clouds had finally taken their true form and was tearing its path heading straight for us all.The ground began to tremble more violently as the earth began to crack open. And the more it opened up, the people began to fall in.

I too began to panic, till I heard my friend's voice from behind saying "Its going to be okay, trust me".

I turned to look behind me and there stood my kids gripping to my arm tightly asking me what was going on. I hugged them close to me .I thought 'okay this is it'  and I asked the angel with my mind if she had come for my babies. She looked towards me and smiled again.

I heard a few cries from others screaming"What about me? I've done nothing wrong!!"

The angel disappeared as well as a few select others, including my kids. The wind picked up and began throwing things, sucking up others in its vortex. I closed my eyes and prayed my babies heard me wherever they were. "I love you both".
