Your love built a facade of perfection

Your face behind a mask of fallacy

Forcing me to lose my self-direction

Nail in the coffin, heartbreak you can't see

My heart has moved on, but my mind stays bound

My thoughts drowning in a sea of regret

In a garden of thorns, your rose was found

Memories of you, I'd rather forget

The name I once loved, now fills me with dread

I felt I could say all, but now I'm mute

My heart won by words better left unsaid

I learned your rose had thorns left at its root

At one time, I could have said "I love you"

Yet now, I can't stand anything you do
