The warm air enveloped me like a blanket as I stepped out of the frigid winter air. I looked around the nearest store I had entered, which turned out to be a cozy little gaming store, with several people in it. Perfect! Especially the popular game, OverWatch. Looking around, I noticed that this store, not only selling gaming equipment, but also cosplay costumes. I rushed over to a suit with a built in grappling hook and venom mine, going along with a deadly sniper rifle. The costume was  for my favourite character, a deadly, trained assassin known as Widowmaker. Checking the price tag, that read 35$, I almost jumped in joy and headed over to the cashier. I quickly bought the suit and gun, warned that it would only hurt my “enemies”. It wasn’t like I had any specific enemies, there was just people I disliked. I hurried to a changing room, almost squealing with joy as I looked at myself in the mirror.

I looked like the trained sniper, as my complexion was very similar to hers.  The only thing I was missing was the blue skin she had, so I looked like a pale, normal skinned version of Widowmaker. I already had yellow eyes, thanks to the colored contacts I was given, and already had long, dark hair. My hair is usually in a braid, but I took it out for the cosplay. I quickly took off the suit, then rushed out of the store, ignoring the cold weather. It was snowing, and made my hair look white. I managed to get into my new 2017 FIAT 500e, an electric car, courtesy of my rich parents. It was a dark shade of purple, littered with Widowmaker stickers. I hopped into the car, starting it with a click of a button. It turned on with a low hum, and I zoomed out of the parking space, and into the snowy road.

I got to my home, a cozy house with a furnished basement and a nice attic, along with a top floor and bottom floor. The top floor had a guest bedroom, and a master bedroom for me with a private bathroom, along with an expensive pet bedroom for my pure black cat, Midnight. In my attic, there were tons of chests, storing away old junk that I could not persuade myself to throw away. My lower floor had a dining room, a gaming room, a kitchen, a living room, and a bathroom. My basement acted as a gym, with a treadmill, punching bag, and other assorted equipment. I was fit, but also slender, and my small build looked very fragile. My home was big, but cozy at the same time.

I opened my door, and quickly stepped inside, throwing my purse down and locking the door. The warm air hit me like a blow, and I stepped inside my bathroom, changing into my Widowmaker cosplay. I stepped out, and quickly picked up the gun. I then tried out the grappling hook, and flew into my gaming room. My eyes were wide, as I stood still, the thrill of flying through air coursing through my blood. I shook my head quickly, and sat down on my swivel chair, and turned on my PC. I opened up Battle.net, and quickly logged on to OverWatch. I clicked to join a game of Quick Play, and waited for a while before joining a match. I checked my teammates, as I clicked Widowmaker’s icon. Ugh, a level 40. At least we have a level 104 to help us. I thought, as almost everyone in the chat was spamming “GRANDMASTER!”. I was the highest rank, with an average of 100 kills as Widowmaker. I was deadly, and won almost every game. The game started, and I almost immediately got a team kill, racking on five kills. I was playing attack, on my favourite map, Kings Row.

The payload was quickly captured, and almost halfway through its route, only five minutes into the game. I grinned at my speed, and soon the game was won. My team had voted to stay as a group, but I left them. Overwatch had gotten somewhat boring, but I was always looking for a rival. I played a few more games, then stopped, shutting down my PC.

I then grinned, and quickly ran to my stairs, grappling up to the top. I almost shouted out loud by my victory, and grinned widely. I then jogged to Midnight’s room, and proceeded to fill her bowl. She knew when to eat, and wouldn’t gulp down the whole bowl. I sat down next to her, and ran my hand through her soft, silky hair. I stood up, stretching, then walked out and immediately bumped into a big man.

I stumbled backwards, as he advanced on me, uncontrollably threw out my venom mine. The man coughed, and stumbled forward. I almost reached out to help him, then remembered what the cashier had said “It will only hurt you enemies.” This man was my enemy. I screamed, and started to shoot at him, but he quickly overpowered me, and picked up my small body, then threw me out an open window, usually used by Midnight to get out. I hit the ground hard, and groaned as the man landed next to me. In my panicked mind, I made an odd realization, that he looked a lot like Roadhog. He seemed to be readying his gun, so I quickly stood up, and grappled to my window. But it was too late. A cold hook dug painfully into my skin, and pulled me backwards, right into the man’s grasp. He slammed his fist into the side of my head, and I blacked out
