Thee Unheard Whimpers

I thought about it all

I heard the silence go around

The drained noises all around

The surrounding death seemed to kill us all

One by one

__the world died

____from shore to shore

The news was no longer something to laugh at

People really dread the stories

__from ev'ry Tv. set

As each one of us died

__we all had one question in mind

"Why do we all have to die?"

The sounds of the dead cannot be heard though

So none of us are answered

We go about our death

__unknown of our new whereabouts

So "where do we go?"

"What's to become of you?"

"What's to become of me?"

But more importantly

"What is killing us all?"

The subtle loss that is all around

Shutters into the dark land

__of dead bodies all over

The world is over

"But why?"
