Multidimensional

We are all pieces on a chess board

Who have been put out into play.

But who’s deciding all the moves?

It’s hard for me to say.

We’ve got the politicians,

The governments, Presidents,

They are all playing by their own rules

And we just go where we are sent.

They’ll work upon their strategy,

Decide upon their plan,

We’ll be moved from square to square

While round them they will scan.

They want an opportunity

To get themselves ahead,

To be the top dogs, Number One’s,

The leaders not the led.

Just look at all the posturing,

The saying, ‘I’m so strong’,

They’ll soon resort to squabbling --

It won’t take very long.

These are the very people

That control some dangerous toys,

But it’s kind of like a playground

Where we find that boys are boys.

Remember on a chess board

That pawns can be expended,

Perhaps we should refuse to play

Before our world is ended.

A game can end one way of two --

In stalemate or defeat;

Either way it seems to me

Devastation we will greet.
