The whole world's been flipped ass-over-tea-kettle,

since when were we happy to go along and settle?

A vague, undefined restlessness has taken hold.

'There's nothing to see here, just do what you're told.'

Just acting decisive doesn't matter if the choices are wrong,

if all traces of common sense are long gone.

Everyone's longing for what they don't know,

it's like anti-evolution, our brain forgot to grow.

Common sense has left the building, and won't be coming back

anytime soon--when did we go from intelligent to sad-sack?

We're all underage drivers on this road to ruin,

desperate for someone, anyone, who says 'I know what I'm doing.'
