Booksie Boost
Many writers have asked for a way to gain more visibility on the site for their work. So, we’ve come up with a program that does this, while at the same time providing the site with some sponsorship money to help support its continued growth.
Booksie Boost offers you the ability to place your writing in highly visible sections of the site in order to gain more visibility for your work. Places where your writing will appear include:
The public homepage of Booksie:
The top of the content list on the logged-in homepage.
On every content page posted below the comments.
At the top of the read pages.
Together, these spots get your writing in front of tens of thousands of readers per day.
Limited Availability
There are only three spots reserved for Boosted content so space is limited and is currently given on a first-come-first-serve basis.
Cost to Boost
The cost to Boost content is $2.99 per day. Using our Boost calendar tool, you can reserve as many days as you like for your content.
You can also win Boosts via some of the writing competitions we'll be running on the site. In the future, we'll provide additional ways for writers to earn Boosts.
How to Boost
To boost content:
-
Go to your Portfolio
-
Find the work you want to Boost and click the red Get Reads button next to it. This will pop out a menu of different items you can use to attract more visitors.
-
Click the red Boost Content button.
-
On the calendar page, drag the blue box with the name of your content on it into the days where you would like to boost your writing. Each day required a separate drag.
-
Follow the remaining steps to confirm and fund your Boost.
Click the Get Reads and then Boost Your Content button to get started.
Please let us know if you have any questions.

Great idea. You guys have done a ton recently to encourage users to give back to the site, and in the process help us as well.
Good thinking!!!!
Good way of allowing users that aren't that known to booksie to have their writings be featured to all as well as another source of income to the site to allow it to continue growing!
I think just a few stories a day is a good idea. But if the first page only contains stories from people who have paid money, I think it's too commercial, and people will move to different free story websites in order to share their writing.
What are the steps I need to take if I wanted to pay via PayPal?
I like the idea of paying to get readers to glance at really good stories and really bad ones.
I think a page of promoted poorly written stories would be great. It warns the reader and gives the writer an undeserved pat on the back. Fantastic. Worth at least 30.00 bucks a month.
When I get fully into Booksie I'll give that a go.
hmm... maybe. I'm not really greedy for reads, though. I'll see what happens
Great Ideas Thanks so much Loves!!!
I would like to try this, but I can't seem to select any dates on the calendar page.
I'm using a computer - chrome on windows 10, if that tells you anything.
New here. Just trying things out. Hope everyone is well! Thanks.
How do I send you the money? Could I use Western Union?
It won't take my card info....everything is correct and valid.
I'd love to try the Boosting feature, but it doesn't seem to be working. I am using Chrome on my desktop and I can't select any dates, whether they are open or not.
Okay, I got the selection of a date worked out, but I have no idea if my choice is going to be honored. I am paying through Paypal and already sent the payment, but there is no way to confirm the date is selected and that the payment has been received. Booksie needs to consider putting a Paypal shopping cart on the payment page.
Hi, we'll look for your PayPal payment and enter the dates. We do have an integration with PayPal's shopping cart on our feature list. Thanks!
As an aside, I can't get the drag and drop to work either right now. There might be a bug in the calendar system.
