You’re Just Drunk

You’ll tell me that you love me

Want to let the past fade

Want to kiss, caress, and hold me

Want me to forgive your ways

And as much as I want to love you

I know he’s on your mind

You desire me now

But in time it will subside

You’ll tell me that I’m better

But the liquors on your breath

And though it’s easy to fuck you

It’ll create a bigger mess

You’re just drunk and you’re just talking

Won’t remember me tomorrow

You’ll cry on my shoulders now

Our loves only ephemeral

I’ll leave once you’re asleep

I’ll leave behind a note

Tell you I love, hope you're better

Give myself some hope

But I know that we’re just friends

And it won’t be any better

I’ll pray he loves you, and I’ll stand aside

Longing you forever
