Self inflicted chaos

Our house of cards doesn't stand a chance

against this self-inflicted storm's steady advance.

No survivors will stagger from the rubble.

Clear-cut logging definitely spells trouble.

They'll be nothing remotely recognizable

left, and the damage from the storm will be sizable.

It's already overwhelming the radar screen,

it's already causing quite a chaotic scene.

People act surprised--must have had their blinders on,

when everything we counted on is suddenly gone.

In less than 2 months, the storm has washed away

all traces of compassion, the once-bright future now a monotone gray.
