The longest minute in my life was when you told me that you didn’t love me anymore. Your mouth was quivering as you said it, holding back tears. You were afraid of my reaction. I was shocked. Mad. But never directly at you. I was shocked you said it. I was angry at myself for evoking such a reaction to things that you would be scared. Tears sprung into my eyes. What the hell. My head hurt. Everything hurt. I just wanted to sleep. Close my eyes and never wake up. My eyes were squeezed shut. I had said something along the lines of “Okay, it’s your decision,”. I didn’t pay attention to it. My eyes opened, bringing tears forth.

You had smiled, eyes crinkling. You were no longer sad. What?

“April fools!” You had pranked me. You had pranked me. I can’t believe I fell for it. Engulfing you in a hug, I whispered in your ear, “Don’t ever do that again, punk.”

“Wouldn’t dream of it.” You said, innocent doe eyes staring back at me. Yeah right. Like I'd believe that look. I loved you though. So I didn't say anything, instead plotting to get you back. I loved you. I love you.
