Once I dreamt

Of far forseen

while winter's silent solitude

transformed my hopes to dust.

Yet still I clung onto my heart's  harboured hope

as fragile as a freshly bloomed rose,

and with each new dawn

each new day

I watched that hope grow,

metamorphing before my eyes

into soemthing I had never expected to find.

Each night sleep drew me in

and curtained me,

it was your face,

your form I saw.

Each poem that flew from my fingertips

visions of you

my world

my Earth turning,

my north star guiding me to the port

of your longed for and often lusted after embrace.
