Sometimes it's hard to express what you really mean.

This poem is dedicated to my very best friend, Mike Stevens.

Misinterpretation

Misinterpretation – such an easy thing to do,

when working out a message that’s come from me to you.

My words get in a muddle and the meaning, it gets lost,

and misinterpretation can lead to a great cost.

I’m far from the most eloquent when I try to find the words

and it’s so hard to know my meanings are what you’ve really heard.

But, hey, we’ll always work it out, when it gets lost in a mist

I’ll just go and rephrase things, give my words a twist,

for you really mean that much to me, I’ll get there in the end

for the one thing I’m determined on is that this friendship will never end.
