you hear a little whistle
that is dancing in the air
a lilt that is infectious
with an essence, very rare
.
the breezes go unnoticed
unless flurries, they may send
close your eyes in revelry
till you can see the wind
.
you spy a wandering moonbeam
that was caught in games of play
a little scared and shy
yet she begins to sing away
.
when lunacy meets lovestruck
there is magic to the tune
lift your ear up to the rays
till you can hear the moon
.
you spot a cloud parading
like a sailor riding high
you wave as if a lighthouse
as the ship goes floating by
.
try standing on your tiptoes
if your body wants to fly
raise your arms above your head
till you can touch the sky
.
you crave the night approaching
for your senses come alive
your logic comes unraveled
so that fantasy can thrive
.
a life without indulgence
is a prison with no bars
press your face into the night
till you can kiss the stars
