A A A

The aroma of the salty air fills my lungs. There is no sign of life in sight. I walk down to where the rough sand meets the refreshing water. I am here to look for her. The rocky sand beneath me, agonizes my feet with each step. And I remind myself to stay away from the jagged rocks that lie beneath the surface.
“Coral.” I whisper. Wishing there would be a reply.
“Coral.” I say, louder this time. But all I can hear is the overwhelming sound of the crashing waves.
“Coral.” I scream as I plunge into the water below. Diving down as far as I can go searching for any sign of the girl I knew to be my sister. The water fills my lungs as I swim to the surface. As I take a breath of the salty air, I look up. Seeing nothing but the blue sky and I remind myself that Coral is up there where she belongs.
