My story started with a constant battle between me, myself and I. Food was my only resort to any problem I faced numbing my emotions. I tried every hack there was to put an end to my obesity struggle - like a kid on a shore trying to reach into the ocean but fearing of what might come. Medications, diets, starvation modes, extreme exercising, contacting medical clinics for life-threatening surgeries, and above all suicidal thoughts - all day, everyday for 15 years non-stop. Food constantly won the battle, leaving me powerless. Yet here I am, reaching out to you about my story. Everyone is facing a problem that no one is truly aware of, responding to their suffering differently; ignoring it, protesting, or accepting and transforming - I personally, reached out to a silent entertainment that constantly gave me my short term excitement;  FOOD. After such battle, everyone looks for a light of hope to help  pull them out of where they stand. Until I became aware of the reality of food addiction, I slowly recovered not only physically but spiritually and emotionally. I am now abstaining from sugar and flour for the past year and seven months hopefully forever to go! I dropped the weight, but gained myself. Not by my own power, but god Almighty's granted power - constantly showering me with gratitude and blessings .
