"Brahms! Don't leave me like this!" I yelled at the top of my lung. He turned around and asked, "What were you doing in Lerwick?"

I swallowed and lied,"I-I was just traveling." Family was a sore subject for me. All the memories of the things I once did to ignore the pain. I was not innocent like my reputation. I watched as he strode to me. He leaned down closely to me, so close that I felt his warm breath fanning my skin. Goosebumps were all over my skin. "Good girls don't lie, Desiree Johanns," he whispered into my ears.

"Tell me the truth," he said, looking deeply into my eyes. Tears swelled up in my eyes. I didn't want to. I didn't want to accept the truth that mom left my sister and I. I didn't want to be alone. I didn't want Destanie to work all the time. I didn't want to admit that mom was like dad. She loved me. She loved both of us.

"I don't want to," I answered, looking away from his eyes.

He took a deep breath and said, "Promise me that you won't ever go back to Lerwick." I looked at him.

But how about Destanie and mom?

I sighed and asked, "if I promise you, will you let me go?"

"I promise."

He bent down and unbuckled his belt from my wrists. I massaged my wrists and watched as he walked out of my bedroom. I sat up and tried to process what just happened. Feeling frustrated with Brahms, I got out of my bed and walked into the bathroom. I took of my clothes and turned on the water.

"That idiot thinks he came make me do anything! How dare he tie me to my bed! I'm gonna kill him! Oh, why didn't I kill him before? Oh, right. Forget the promise I made to him! I'm going back to Lerwick!" I said angrily. I turned off the water and wrapped a towel around my body.

I walked out of the shower and screamed my back hitting the wall behind me. There stood Brahms in his godly glory looking at me.......only in a towel. I stared at him wide eyed in shock. Then realization hit me in the face so hard that it hurt. I grabbed the nearest object I could (it happened to be a teddy bear) and threw it at him.

"Get out!" I screamed, throwing small books at him. He dodged all of them and said, "Stop throwing things at me! I came to-"

"Get out!" I screamed, blushing red. He turned around his back to me.

He cleared his throat and said, "I'm sorry."

I quickly grabbed a baggy shirt off the floor and put it on. It covered my knees and that was good enough. I also wrapped the wet towel around my body and asked, "What are you doing here?"

He turned around and I did not miss the way his lustful eyes checked out my long legs. Feeling disgusted, I grabbed a small pillow off the floor and threw it at him. It hit him right in his face. His expression was priceless. I laughed. He frowned and asked, "Did you just throw a pillow at me?"

I nodded laughing. "It hit you perfectly in your face!"

He rolled his eyes and said, "I came back to give you your phone. You must have dropped it in my car." He placed my phone on my bed and started to walk out. Without thinking, I stopped him by grabbing his arm. He turned around sharply. His dark eyes darkened at me. I swallowed and said, "I wanted to say thank you for saving me."

He nodded and walked out leaving me all to myself again.

"Have you seen Brahms Cavallo yet?" A girl asked a group of her friends.

I frowned and walked away mentally thinking the same. It was strange. It has been three days of school and I have not seen Brahms at all. I planned to go to Lerwick again and look for mom and Destanie. Since that night, I lost contact with Destanie, and Brahms.

As I walked down the hallway, I felt lonely and somewhat incomplete. I took a sharp turn into the girls' bathroom and locked myself in a stall. I sighed as I leaned on the wall. These past three days I couldn't stop thinking about Brahms and how he wanted me to stay out of Lerwick. What was he doing in Lerwick? Was he following me? It well known that Brahms came from a very wealthy Italian family. No one could rival with his wealth. It frustrated me to no ends that I was actually missing him in school. I missed arguing with him. I missed how he looked so mysterious when he was in his own world.

Gosh, I miss that bad boy!

I swear on my grave that I will never tell anyone that I miss him. I ran my hands through my hair and took deep breath.

Oh, Desiree........what have you gotten yourself into?

I unlocked the door and walked out of the girls' bathroom back into reality.

"Desiree, you seem a little distracted today," Miss Jones stated after class. I sighed and said, "I'm sorry. I'm just a little tired lately."

She smiled and asked, "Are you missing someone?" Bullseye, Miss Jones!

I blushed and shook my head. No, I was not brave enough to tell her that this fake good girl has a temporary crush on a mysterious bad boy like Brahms Cavallo.

She nodded and said, "Okay, see you tomorrow."

I folded in my clothes into a backpack because my suitcase was in that hotel. I called for a cab and quickly shoved down a slice of strawberry cake. Once the cab arrived, I was taken to Lerwick immediately. It was almost dark. I stood in front of the police station. I took a deep breath and walked in. The police station was quiet, but there were some people in there. I walked up to a desk. A policeman looked up and asked, "How can I help?"

I sat down on the chair and said, "I'm looking for my sister, Destanie Johanns. She was working with the police to find our mom, Yvette Markovich. Our mom disappeared a while ago and my sister came to Lerwick to find her. And now she, too, is missing."

"Destanie Johanns, eh?"

He suddenly grabbed my arms and held me down on the desk. "What are you doing here?" He asked.

I swallowed and said, "I'm looking for my sister!"

"She disappeared! There's nothing that you can do. Leave Lerwick!" He said and let go of my arms. I stumbled backward and ran out of the police station. I had to find that liquor bar. Destanie didn't tell me the name of it!

I walked along the quiet, dark street of Lerwick hoping to find some place that looked decent and safe. I was too afraid of that hotel. As I walked, I felt eyes on me. I turned around and looked.

Then I felt two big, strong hands covering my mouth. I screamed and fought back. The person that held me dragged me into a dark alley and ripped my blouse that my black bra showed. I cried and tried to fight back. Then the person stepped into the light. It was a man! He was dead pale and his eyes were bright red. I screamed and tried to crawl away from him. Flashbacks of Brahms rescuing me came into my mind.

Where are you, Brahms?

He grabbed my ankle and pulled me back. My arms and hands were bleeding from the scrapes due to the asphalt.

He opened his mouth and two sharp fangs showed. I tried to scream again, but nothing came out of my mouth. He pushed himself on me and sunk his pearl white fangs into my neck. Tears seeped down my face as the pain increased. The sight before my eyes were fading away and I felt sleepy and weak.

Slowly and painfully, my eyes fluttered shut.

I groaned the unfamiliar pain in my neck. I opened my eyes the world around spun for a few seconds. Once my eyes focused, I realized that I was chained to a wall. I looked down and gasped. My blouse was ripped and my bra was showing. A dark trail of red blood stained my blouse and my bare skin.

I panicked and yelled, "Help! Someone help me! Please!"

Tears streamed down my face like a river. I felt tired, lost and scared.

Memories of the event flashed into my head.

"Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh! I was bit by a vampire!"
