Letting him go was hard

You never gave up on him,

And now you wonder if he ever truly loved you in all the places he said he did,

like your stomach or thighs.

You see him in the new guys smile,

and the way its convincing enough to cover up the pain.

You see him when you sleep,

and he stays in your head,

because you laid next to him in that god damn bed.

he said he'd never stop loving you,

but he did.
