No one heard them coming, and they come still

nor was the sentinel alerted

out of nowhere magicians played their instruments

musicians made their tricks

?I had a shot of whiskey, the rook ate the pawn

?questions and answers weren't allowed, so the priest and the nuns

?did not pray on time, so it goes, that food was a plenty

money was scarce, trombone player said, bullshit, fuck the eighth notes

to give a damn with horrendous sound in my ears

?Train is leaving, I'll follow the quarter dotted notes

?And Paul? He followed the sun.
