I wish you could see,

See the pain, sadness and guilt,

The thoughts that keep me up,

The pain that makes me stop.

I wish you could see,

The way my smile never reaches my eyes,

How my laughter is forced,

How I feel the weight of the world.

I wish you could see,

I wish you could understand,

Most of all I wish,

You would take it all.

You would hold me close,

Instead of running away,

You would accept the broken me,

and love me when I can't.
