dirty paws

strong jaws

a lottery takes them

to Heaven's gates

injected or gassed

a life that never lasts

overcrowded

85% of Pit Bull population

in shelters

across the land

we need a new Hand

Heavenly Father &

in the Name of Jesus

and St. Francis of Assisi

keep these dogs safe

and to never stray

pray

pray

they never bite a child

they live their lives

quiet & mild

amen
