Featured Review on this writing by Sean Terrence Best
"Life as a covert conspirator, Death as a demonic matador, methinks the eloquently penned gestalt of the legendary Dr. Acula cloaks a depth of meaning eerily subliminally reminiscent of the same macabre secrecy as Poe's grim Lenore! A funeral dirge on a boggy hummock in a gloomy literary swamp.... deliciously haunting! there's the wraith of otherworldly perception in Dr. Acula's melancholy meter!"
( originally titled Thanatology ) This is sort of a writing "exorcise", for developing characters out of themes: so far :
Sleep, Death, Life, Bliss, Awake, Light, Dark, Shadow, Mercy, Grace, Lust, Passion, Love, Dream, Nightmare, Destiny, Fate, Hope, Faith, Gluttony

Wow! So very imaginative and creative! Your writing truly is art and gives me chills as I read on. You make it sound all so real and natural, so painfully simplistic, lol, yet, your writing speaks with words on their own. What an intriguing read Jane, the world none of us really know, yet, you found a loophole, lol. I can't wait to see where you take this one. Excellent!

Thank you Hully, I have no direction for this , other than the rules I gave myself in the summary concerning the plot, but I love figuring out to write things, so it will work itself out somehow.
And yes, Sleep, such a weird requirement of life. ( for all things living )
Interesting premise.

You actually a severily philosophical story here l. The distance that humanity from sleep to death basically how far are we from death when we are asleep. Atleast that is how i interpreted it. Not many people could have thought this up. Once again i compare you to am earky 1800 writer. I love classics and i love your mind livigston. I truthfully think you could have an ingenious mind.

Koss ! Thank you so much ! , you win the origin story.. ( even though everyone can now see it lol ) True story..I am sound asleep ..so warm and comfortable,,don't remember the dream..when suddenly I hear my name,,,as clear as bell...so loud as if screamed to me...so I say out loud "UH HUH " and I actually sit up in bed throwing the blankets to the side like there is someone in the room trying to wake me up because my house is on fire or something..no lie, no joke. but... No fire..nobody there..no voice..it was me talking in my sleep because I heard something that was in my head. someone calling my name ,.. wtf. It seriously made me mad at myself..lol...its bad enough when other people wake you up for no reason...but when you wake yourself,,well I am still mad at me.. many months later.haha. So the next day I thought I would write a story about it, except i twist things lol..what if I didn;t hear my name .if I.didn't wake up..and then this weird little battle ( in my mind ) of death and sleep and waking and living was played out..not exactly easy to put into words..and now worst of all..becasue I did decide to write about,,how does one go about it, playing out a scenario that hasn't been imagined yet?
