The year is 9084, Wednesday, September 16; my crew & I were at a base, actually a recruit training center, on saratona, & we never received any orders from Turner, until 12:00pm Friday. One of the 4 advisors had located my cruiser, & arrived at the training compound. “Where’s Alex, your combat instructor?” the advisor replied, from behind his cloak. “Excuse me.” The training complex’s receptionist replied, “I dem& to speak with Alex.” “Please wait a minute.” The receptionist replied, & whispered something to a cadet that was walking by, & the cadet left. The cadet arrived at my rooms’ door, right after my last class before lunch break.

“This’s concerning Turner, your new orders.” The cadet discreetly told me, & h&ed me the envelope, when I opened the envelope, I found some very formal writing, it said:

To: Admiral Alex,

Reconnaissance over the planet cantina 5 has indicated an unknown lab, in the planets rainforest. The lab’s porpoise for being built, I want your crew to figure out, the flights took place 2 days ago, & since we know there’s no life on this planet, I will allow you access to whatever extra equipment you may need. I also recommend the usage of the environmental suits stored onboard the USS Smith, since, the recon bio scan indicated a possible high level of viral contaminant.

Signed,

Turner

I immediately followed the advisor to the complexes’’ east hanger, my crew had already been gathered, & my cruiser was ready to launch, after I got onboard it via its small personnel lift. “Engaging after burners.” Tyrone said, as the ship rocketed toward the sky, “ switching off afterburners, & engaging primary drive.”, the afterburner power gauges fell back down to 0, as the main engine power meters rose rapidly to 100% thrust, 12 minutes later, we left the planet’s atmosphere. “St& by for hyper gate clearance.” The hyper gates computer system announced over the cruisers speaker system, “Clearance granted location cantina 5.” It replied 2 minutes later. The ring had nothing in its center, & Tyrone piloted the cruiser into the ring, & it disappeared, once we were inside the ring the ship accelerated to a speed of 2,000,766mph, otherwise the trip would take a solid 8 days.

2 hours later, we immediately exited the portal, & Tyrone reversed the cruisers warp drive, which quickly brought the cruiser to a safe entry speed, & Tyrone piloted the cruiser toward the planet’s surface, as we descended, there was surprisingly no resistance as far as buffeting, we touched the ground very softly, since the vert.booster system had engaged, & slowed the cruiser to a complete stop, then steadily decreased power, dust swirled away from the cruisers 8 l&ing pads, 4 on each side. “ Good job, we’re right next to its west entrance, tom tell the search party to suit up, Tyrone, you’ve got comm& until I get back.” I ordered, before I walked down to the ships equipment room, located directly across from the armory on deck24, the lowest deck. The suit had the latest nano technology; every system was integrated into the suits processor, which was formed & part of the suits interior, the exterior has a black, onubtitanium covering, with a waterproof sealant, & a state of the art electronic movement system that allows the person using the suit to do almost anything. After I got the suit on, I went to the 2nd hanger, where the rest of the search party was already in the 8 person transport shuttle, once I was in the rear entry hatch closed, & the shuttle was launched from the USS Smith, we rocketed toward the building, to search for another point of entry, since, scans revealed that the main doors we faced were sealed shut, & on top of that were not powered, the shuttle transport l&ed on the complex’s west entrance side, once the engines shut off, & as all 8 people, including myself, stepped onto the dry, s&y soil, there was nothing but a very uncomfortable silence, as we entered the laboratories’ west hall. The hall we walked down was dimly lit, & splotches of blood were occasionally on the walls. The suits bio sensors gave strange readout on the helmets visor Hud, as we turned down another hall, as we drew closer, the reading got higher as we drew closer to the room, & peaked as we entered it.

The room appeared to be some kind of control room. The 7 soldiers, spread out, & searched the room for any evidence of what happened, as I entered the room, I received notification from my suits motion sensors, someone else was in the room as well. “I’m getting movement; the 2nd soldier notified the 6. I followed the movement readings; it led me to a corner of the room, which wasn’t lit. I activated the helmets 67 L.E.D integrated light, a man was visible, propped up against the wall, my suits bio sensors showed his vitals on the visors hud, & I bent down, & touched the man on the shoulder, injecting a nano med into his body, once his vitals returned to normal levels, he began to speak, the suits built in external mic picked up his voice, & sent it to the helmets headset. “You’ve got to destroy this place, it’s all screwed.” “What, what happened?” I asked the man, but, he pointed a trembling finger at the control panel. “We need evac now!” I said over the suits uplink with the USS Smith, 5 seconds later Tom had beamed us back onto the USS Smith. “Nice cruiser.” The man replied, as tom escorted him to the lounge on deck 7. While tom did that, I had walked back down to the armory, & took the suit off; the soldiers took theirs off in the armory & resumed their previous duties. I walked up to deck 7.

When I reached the lounge, I entered the room, & sat in one of the 24 leather chairs that were around the rectangular table, across from the man I rescued. “You’ve got to destroy that lab.” The man told me, “why’s that, tell me what happened 3 weeks ago.” I replied, “Well, I was in that room when we were testing an unknown object that was captured by another cruiser, USS Turner, & brought here in a small reportable vault, so, we began conducting tests on it. 2 weeks went perfectly fine, nothing odd occurred, it wasn’t until the 3rd week, that things got extremely bad quickly, 3 days ago, at 6:00am, Monday morning, as we began our 3rd week of testing, we started to detected a strange pulsation, strong enough to make a person violently ill, so we placed the object in a vibration proof chamber, which was also equipped to h&le most biological contaminants, & resumed our testing. During the night, one of the security guards that were outside the chamber, was found dead the next morning, I called the medical examiner, & he took the guards body to the examination room, what he found was that he was killed by a viral infection, & that it was originated from the small, red sphere we were currently testing, so, later on that day, another report involved another person, this time this victim had turned on its  self, & all logic went away, as it attacked the security guards. The next day, things got so bad; I had to engage black snake protocol.” “Hold up, what’s blacksnake protocol?” I inquired the man, “that’s the worst protocol that can be utilized; it basically means the lab has been compromised, & permits the use of high gravitron weapon usage. So, when I ordered that protocol active, the infection had spread rapidly, we also had found a temporary cure for the virus, & gave the injection to everyone as we evacuated the lab. I had to stay behind in order to seal the base completely, which is when I got attacked, something bit a large chunk of flesh out of my right leg.” “I assure you, we’ll get this figured out & under control.” I assured the man, “listen, you’re trying to fix a problem you’ll find extremely hard to repair.” He told me, before the medic arrived to operate on the man. I returned to the bridge, “anything in those files that were extracted?” I asked tom, since he viewed them one at a time. “Just a bunch of logs & charts, & lists. He replied. “Run a scan for any hidden files.” I said, & once tom ran that scan a file turned up labeled Project aurora.  “this must be what he was telling’ me about, these are the logs he made 2 weeks ago, they all say exactly what he said as well.” I added, as I read the reports, I found a list of serums that also explained the status of the serum, its effects, & its ingredients needed to make it, I strolled down to the 78th serum, labeled Serum X. its usage was USE ONLY IN A INEVITABLE EMERGENCE OF ANY UNKNOWN VIRAL COMPOUND, this was in big bold lettering, its effects weren’t listed, nor was its status, its ingredients were encoded with the highest level security encoding possible. “See if you can open that file.” I told tom, & tom entered the files encryption bypass code, but it was kicked back, displaying an error message that stated the file was still locked down. I went back down to deck 15, room533, & asked the man what the files code was, “5622.” He replied, weak from his surgery, “so, what,” “enter 5622.” I replied, & tom entered the number, which was accepted, & the file opened, now, something weird happened, all the cruisers systems turned off, then back on briefly. “It appears that our ship’s just become a whole lot smarter.” Tom replied, as the cruisers computer, began running its threat assessment program on its own, after the program was completed, it said over the speaker system, “ how’s the survivor from the lab doing?”, this completely stunned me & tom. “His vitals are normal, & they removed a tooth from his leg, we’re running an analysis of it.” I replied, “oh, anything I can assist with?” steer clear of any combat situation & head toward turners cruiser, & then dock with it.” I ordered the USS Smiths computer, “yes, at your comm& admiral.” It replied. I walked down to the ships lab, where S&ers, the lab Technician was running tests on the object, which appeared to be a tooth. “Well, I’ve ruled out one thing, its’ obviously not any piece of organic matter, didn’t come from any type of creature, I’ve also isolated the residue on its tip, & then cross referenced the toxin database, & its’ actually a very low level toxin, it only makes you extremely uncomfortable once it gets inside your blood stream, 5 hours from now, he’ll only get very uncomfortable muscle cramps, as for you, I’d be cautious, & I’d stop going into these places you go into, I’d hate for you to get something we can’t readily cure.” “Look at all the tech we’ve got, what’s the worst that could happen.” I replied as I left the room. “You really don’t want to find out.”  He said after I left.

We got word of another event, similar to what we encountered, & we did the same procedure, after we made our way to the control room, just as we were leaving the base, I felt a intense, sharp, burning pain travel through my body, & collapsed on the ground, knocked out by the pain, the solders carried me to sickbay, after we were back on the USS Smith, & I was placed in room 388. The next morning I awoke to a doctor looking down on me, “how are you feeling today?” he asked as he looked at my file. “Like crap, now can whatever I got be cured?” “Well we’ll have to run some tests. We’ll have you cured soon.” He replied, as he finished reading the file, then left. I lay in the stretcher, trying to hold the pain that rippled through out my body, in.

Meanwhile, Turner was beamed onto my vessel, & went straight to the bridge. “Is Alex available?” he asked, “He’s down in sickbay, check there.” Tom replied, & turner made his way to sickbay.

“You’ve got a visitor.” The nurse told me, “If its Turner, tell him I’ll be ready in 12 minutes.” I replied, & the nurse approached turner, “Alex said he’ll be ready in 12 minutes.” “I’ll wait here.” Turner replied & sat down in one of the lobbies’ waiting room chairs, 12 minutes later, I walked out. “Let’s get my speeder loaded up; I’ve got a race to be in.” I told Turner.” “I’ll be there in 6 minutes.” He told me, as I walked toward the 3rd hanger where my transport shuttle, with my speeder loaded inside it, was kept. I sat in the speeder for over an hour. Meanwhile, turner came across my doctor. “Any news on Alex’s state?” the doctor knew it was going to be hard for Turner to accept, & decided to tell him. “So far he’s passed all tests except the protein absorption test. This means anything that requires him to go a long period without a break to eat some kind of food moderate in protein, could possible place him in a coma, which can slowly be stopped in a period of 6 months.” , this troubled Turner, “ any other problems you found?” “Yes, now that you mention it, we did detect a small lump around the left side of his brain; we don’t know what that’s going to effect, only time will tell us when we need to remove it.” The doctor told Turner, so any thing I can get his crew to do to help him?” “Yes make sure he doesn’t go with the soldiers anymore.” The doctor emphasized, “I’ll see to it that won’t happen.” Turner replied, “Does he even know?” “No, never talked to him about it, & don’t bring it up in front of Alex.” The doctor added, then left. Turner walked toward hanger 3, when he heard a shuttles boosters being engaged, & found the nearest security station. “I need to know where that sound’s coming from.” “Hanger 3, Alex ordered me not to let anyone interfere, he’s going’ back to the lab, what’s the problem?” “The man’s sick, he’s got some kind of growth, you should have notified me.” “I’ll alert the USS Tritan; hopefully Tritans crew can stop Alex.” The security guard told Turner, then typed up the letter & sent it to Tritan. Tritan received the notice, & had his crew make sure that Alex wouldn’t enter the laboratory.

As I neared the base, I flew west, 500 miles away from the labs above ground entrance, & l&ed in its underground hanger, which was the last place anybody would go in, & entered the lab. “We’ve detected a transport shuttle that turned west 19 minutes earlier.” Tritans sensor operator told him. “That’s got to be alexs’ ship, I want a squad of 7 soldiers to go in after him, & bring him out UN harmed.” Tritan replied, & the Lut.comm&er gave the order to Tritans special team of elite combat specialists, & they walked in the direction of the cavern. Mean while, I roamed the lab’s hallways, almost if I was searching for someone, then I came to another control room, & a man approached me, & injected the antidote, which immediately cured my ailment. “Who are you? & what’s going on?” I asked the man. “I’m the comm&er of this lab, john’s my name, I suppose you’re wondering what I did.” “Yes,” I replied intently, as the comm&er went about working on the object covered by the cloth that was draped over it. “I injected you with 12ccs of a low grade immobilizer, no one knows about it.” He told me, “Feel free to look around.” He told me, & I began looking at his multiple awards that were in a large display cabinet. “So, how long have you worked here?” “Oh, about 6 years.”  “I’m still looking for a soon-to-be wife.” “Oh, an Admiral that’s married,” john chuckled, “yeah, she’ll be another target, quicker than you could stop. You see, there’s this man, rough, merciless man, leads a group known as the Red Stars, he’s been trying to take over your ship, used to work for him, 9 years ago.” The man replied, as he crawled out from underneath the device he was constructing, “ready to see it?” he asked, I nodded my head, & he pulled the very large, thick white blanket off the device. “It’s a new kind of improved drive system I made,” he told me, “what’s it do?” “Glad you asked,” he replied, & led me into a separate control room, & engaged the drive systems power system, all the various read outs steadily rose to 32%, around the devices tip, a rainbow colored pulse of light pulsated, as the drive system was re-directed at the target object, which was a round, solid metal ball.  “Increasing to 50% power” The man said, & eased the lever until the power level readings read 50%; the pulse had now formed a steady, white beam of light, around the metal sphere, now he eased the power lever up until it stopped. The pulsing energy grew intense by the second, & eventually, the 100,000pound ball was able to be moved around, as he operated 2 joy sticks, the energy beam kept the sphere from falling, even when he jerked the controls, I was amazed as he shut down the device, & placed the cloth over it. “Tritans’ my worst fear, he’s still trying to kill allot of people.” “But, he can’t, so, he’s sided with turner.” this caught the man by surprise, then I began to get lightheaded, the room started to spin in a circle, & I collapsed again on the ground, when the man saw me fall to the floor, he immediately picked me up, & carried me to the Labs southern hanger, where his fighter was stored, & placed me in the seat behind his, & got in the pilots’ seat in front of mine & took off. His fighter shot out of the south hanger like a bullet being shot out of a rifle, as he rapidly ascended, Tritans elite group spotted the fighter as it was ascending, & reported it to Tritan. “Where’s it headed?!” “That we don’t know, we never reached it in time to put a homing beacon on it.” One of the soldiers replied, “Turner’ll not be pleased to hear that we let Alex escape.” Tritan yelled at the group of soldiers, & you call your selves the best! While I’ve got to locate the best Admiral, by myself!” tritan yelled at the group, then stormed angrily on to his cruiser. “Contact Turner, & send him our coordinates.” Tritan told his cruisers computer, & then an idea hit him, “Computer, launch saber protocol, & prepare my fighter.” He told his computer, & then left the Cruisers Bridge, his crew was puzzled at what Tritan had done, for it was extremely rare to initiate Saber protocol.

Mean while, the man had l&ed at a small hut in the middle of a dense rainforest, 2 men carried out a stretcher, which I was placed on by 2 other men, & carried it inside the Hut, where the doctor who lived there mixed a herbal drink up, & I drank it, 3 minutes later I awoke in the hut, & looked around the hut, confused, & I began to feel threatened, & searched for my pulse rifle, “ easy, you should at least be grateful, we saved your neck.” The doc told me, as he helped me to my feet. “Go & let Turner know I’m fine.” “It’s already been done.” The man replied. “Now, how far’s the armory from here?” “What exactly do you plan to do?” & turner had arrived.

Meanwhile, this angered Tritan, who gave up, & went back to his old ways. “I thought we had them, we were so close!” tritan told Tibus, & jrod. “We always can release the virus you found.” this was a very good idea in Tritans mind. “Go destroy those labs, which will release the virus.” Tritan told Tibus & jrod, via his uplink, & Tibus’s cruiser headed toward the 1st laboratory, & tritan headed to the second lab. 4 days passed since turner & I had completely left the 2 labs, & safely withdrew our army, & fleet, since the labs were becoming extremely contaminated.

Then, the worst possible thing that could happen did, we received word that Tibus’s cruiser was opening fire on the 1st lab, & jrod’s cruiser was firing on the second lab, our worst fear was true. The months that followed, forced turner & I to take desperate measures
