You Call These Shoes.

You call these shoes but really I’m not sure,

I think they’re more similar to a contraption for torture.

They ensure that I can’t run away – for I can barely walk

but that seems part of the attraction when I listen to you talk.

These heels that are so very high keep me where I belong

and you’re liking the way they do deceive and make my legs look long.

High heels and a mini skirt – yep, many a man’s dream,

the total insult of this thought makes me want to scream.

So come on girls, don’t play along, take back your walking power

it doesn’t really matter if, in height, over you they tower.

Pull those trainers onto your feet, tie up both your laces,

and enjoy the look of disappointment on so many faces.
