Paper plane.

By Paul Davey

Ruby’s Daddy made a paper plane for her to play with.

Ruby threw it high into the air and it landed on the back of the sofa.

She ran into the kitchen where Mummy was cooking. She threw the plane high into the air again and it landed on top of the fridge.

“Mummy, can you get my paper plane for me please?” asked Ruby.

Mummy gave it back and she ran into the hallway. She threw the plane high into the air and it got stuck behind a picture.

“Daddy, can you get my paper plane for me please?” asked Ruby.

Daddy gave the plane back to Ruby. “Why don’t you go and play with your plane in your room, Ruby?” asked Daddy.

“Ok.” Ruby said as she ran up the stairs.

She threw it high into the air and it landed on her bed.

She threw it high into the air and it landed on her toy box.

She threw it high into the air and this time it................... disappeared.

Ruby looked everywhere for her paper plane but it was nowhere to be seen.

She walked down the stairs into the front room. “Daddy, I’ve lost my paper plane. Can you help me find it please?” Ruby sadly asked.

Daddy noticed that the paper plane had landed in the hood of Ruby’s top. “I know where it is.”

“Where, where, where is it Daddy?” shouted Ruby.

“It’s in Mummy and Daddy’s bedroom,” said Daddy.

Ruby looked at Daddy a little confused. “But I wasn’t playing in your room Daddy,” said Ruby.

“I know, but if you go into our room you will find it, I know you will,” said Daddy as he pointed to the stairs.

Ruby didn’t understand but she went upstairs to Mummy and Daddy’s bedroom anyway.

She looked on the bed but it wasn’t there.

She looked under the bed but it wasn’t there.

She looked on top the chest of drawers and it wasn’t there either.

Ruby stood in the middle of Mummy and Daddy’s bedroom and was just about to get sad when......

She looked in the big mirror on the wall.

Ruby smiled a broad smile. She could see the paper plane sticking out of her hood.

“There it is, I can see it, I can see it.” Ruby shouted with great excitement.

She ran down stairs to show her dad.

Daddy made another paper plane and they went into the garden to play with their planes together.
