I can't breathe while I am spinning out of control in this small space. My oxygen is slowly dissipating and my vision going in and out. I gasp, pushing at buttons and flipping switches.

The delicate atmosphere around Earth is fading and it's my job to find a solution. One I know I'll never find. My titanium ship is crumbling, and my journey years from being complete.

From birth, I was given one mission: Save the people. Locked under the Earth's crust, I prepared for the exploring I would do to save us all.

As I spin out of control, I see one lone vibrant memory. As a teen, I went to the coast of a small fishing town. I remember pointed tips of rocks at my feet and the spray of the sea. The salty wind matted my hair, but I savored it. I was alive and nearly free from my confines.

The sea was never ending, as were the vast buildings. But In the end, they were small compared to the universe. Now it's the universe that's taken me. My last feeling as the ship becomes silent is the wind on my skin.
