Granny Good filled the cow-shaped cookie jar with her fresh-baked oatmeal cookies. Her grandkids would be arriving soon and she wanted to give them a special treat.

A few minutes later the doorbell rang and Granny ushered in her three little houseguests and their mother.

"It's been a long trip," said the children's mother. "I think we could all use a nap!"

"You heard your mother," chirped Granny Good. "Everyone upstairs for a nap...and when you wake up I have a special treat waiting for you in the kitchen."

An hour later the children woke from their naps and Granny called them into the kitchen. She sat them around the table and poured them each a glass of milk. Granny opened the cookie jar...and all of the cookies were gone!

"My word!" said Granny. "This cookie jar is empty!" She looked around the table and declared, "Which one of you children helped yourself to my treats?"

"It wasn't me," said Jimmy. "I was asleep the whole time!"

"Me, either," said Bella. "Besides, I hate oatmeal cookies!"

"I got up once to pee," said Sarah, "but I swear I went right back to sleep!"

Grandma eyed each of the children.

"I think I know who stole my treats!" she said.

Who does Grandma suspect? (scroll down for answer)

Answer: Bella. Grandma didn't tell any of her grandkids that she had baked oatmeal cookies. The only way Bella would have known was if she had snuck downstairs during her nap and helped herself to Grandma's treats!
