The Unforgiven

Timothy Buckson woke up on a Saturday morning.  For Timothy it was just another weekend in a town he hated.  The new school year did not start off well.  The kids couldn’t use the computers without teacher supervision.  A new school uniform policy went effect this year and most kids hated it.  However with fascism creeping up on America Timothy Buckson along with numerous other children were going to be anything but happy.

Over the past week Timothy Buckson told his parents he hated school but he would do the school work because he had to.  He also told his parents that he hated the new teachers.

His parents asked him if he was having emotional problems.  Timothy denied it and said he just hated it.  His parents felt seventh grade was just a hard grade.  They decided to take his word for it because after all he was just 13.

Timothy went to the mall with his friend Robin Bind who was also 13.  They were just friends and not in a romantic relationship.

They sat down in the food courtyard with their hotdogs/fries/sodas.

Over the mall intercom they played Metallica’s hit.

"The Unforgiven"

New blood joins this earth,
And quickly he's subdued.
Through constant pained disgrace
The young boy learns their rules.

With time the child draws in.
This whipping boy done wrong.
Deprived of all his thoughts
The young man struggles on and on he's known
A vow unto his own,
That never from this day
His will they'll take away.

What I've felt,
What I've known
Never shined through in what I've shown.
Never be.
Never see.
Won't see what might have been.

What I've felt,
What I've known
Never shined through in what I've shown.
Never free.
Never me.
So I dub thee unforgiven.

They dedicate their lives
To running all of his.
He tries to please them all –
This bitter man he is.

Throughout his life the same –
He's battled constantly.
This fight he cannot win –
A tired man they see no longer cares.

The old man then prepares
To die regretfully –
That old man here is me.

What I've felt,
What I've known
Never shined through in what I've shown.
Never be.
Never see.
Won't see what might have been.

What I've felt,
What I've known
Never shined through in what I've shown.
Never free.
Never me.
So I dub thee unforgiven.

[Solo]

What I've felt,
What I've known
Never shined through in what I've shown.
Never be.
Never see.
Won't see what might have been.

What I've felt,
What I've known
Never shined through in what I've shown.
Never free.
Never me.
So I dub thee unforgiven.

Never free.
Never me.
So I dub thee unforgiven.

You labelled me,
I'll label you.
So I dub thee unforgiven.

Never free.
Never me.
So I dub thee unforgiven.

You labelled me,
I'll label you.
So I dub thee unforgiven.

Never free.
Never me.
So I dub thee unforgiven.

Robin commented how that song really applies today.  Timothy said “no kidding all these new bastards in government.  Did you know in TX they’re trying to pass a law that says if a teacher thinks a kid is gay that teacher has to call the kid’s parents and tell them so?”

Robin said “oh my God!”

Timothy said “oh these new officials that weren’t even elected are working for the Vatican and Israel.  They hate our Constitution.”

Robin said “well if they can put us in school uniforms they can do anything.”

All of a sudden a woman walked up to the table Timothy and Robin were sitting at.  She screamed “WHY THE FUCK ARE YOU TWO WEARING METALLICA T-SHIRTS?”

Timothy answered “what’s your problem?”

The woman screamed “THERE ARE ELDERLY LADIES OVER THERE AND THEY DON’T WANT KIDS WEARING WHATEVER THEY WANT.”

Robin said “neither of those old ladies are my parents and neither are you.”

The woman screamed “DON’T YOU GET AN ATTITUDE WITH ME YOUNG LADY!”

Timothy said “we were minding our own business.”

The angry woman called a police officer over to complain to him.  The police officer said he couldn’t do anything because Timothy and Robin broke no laws.

The angry woman said “well when the churches do their final take over these kids will be put in line.”

She then stormed off.

One hour later Timothy returned home.

He was shocked to see his parents shaking and upset.
