"Do you see me yet?" My friend, Sanjay asked through the phone. I looked around the airport, trying to pinpoint the coffee toned male, but there were too many people walking around.

"No," I scolded. "I can't find you anywhere. What are you wearing?"

"Oh, getting kinky here, are we?" I rolled my eyes as he took a pause. I was sure he was checking to see what he had on. "I have on  yellow shirt and blue jeans. What are you wearing, Ms. Colin?"

"Stop being gross." I groaned as I grabbed my suitcase and began walking away from the terminal area. "I have on a black turtle neck with a red scarf. It's so red, you can't miss it."

"Hold on, I think I see you now. Your hair is just as puffy as ever. Like pom poms." He commented. I frowned and looked around again, spinning until I spotted him. He waved his hand and put his phone away and I did the same as I walked over to him. He gave me a huge smile before hugging me.

"Welcome home, Anais." he greeted. I smiled and hugged him back.

"Thanks, Jay." He grabbed my suitcase and gestured for me to follow him out of the airport. "I appreciate you letting me stay at your place until I'm able to settle."

"It's no problem for a friend." he replied. "So, how was school? Being trapped in one place for so long must have driven you crazy." I chuckled as memories of my training popped into my head.

"It was crazy indeed." I replied. We made it to the parking lot and he unlocked his car. "I never knew being a model and actor took so much work. It was pretty tough." He loaded my suitcase into the trunk and we both got into the car.

"Well, at least you made it, right?" he started the car and smiled at me again. "You're home now, that's what matters. Everyone has heard about you and they can't wait to meet you."

"Everyone?" I questioned as we backed out of the parking space and got onto the road. It was late and the nightlights illuminated the pavement every 50 feet, making me feel drowsy. I was so tired, I could have fallen asleep right there, but I wanted to know more about the others who were also staying at his house.

Jay nodded, keeping his eyes on the road. "Yeah. We've been hearing a lot of stuff about you from Luca."

"Luca..." I said as I stared out the window at the night sky.

Luca De Rosa was the only person who wrote to me everyday while I was in training. He kept my spirits up whenever I was down and never gave up on me. I had a bit of a crush on him during high school, but once he got into a relationship, I looked the other way. However, I secretly hoped he would still ask me out some day if it didn't work out between him and his girlfriend. What will make it a bit more awkward is that he's also staying at Sanjay's house.

I wonder what he'll say when he sees me... I thought to myself, feeling a blush rise to my cheeks.

"I need to make a quick stop at a friends work place. Is that okay?" Sanjay asked as he maneuvered the car between traffic.

"Of course." I replied. "Which friend are you going to see?"

"You don't know her." Sanjay did a one shoulder shrug. "Her name is Sunila. I grew up with her in India and she just moved here a couple of months ago. She's also living in the house...she's also my girlfriend." I laughed and gave Sanjay and playful shove. "Hey, woman, I'm driving!"

"How come you never told me you had a girlfriend, Jay?" We took the exit from the highway and cruised down a road lined with food restaurants.

"It just never seemed important." he shrugged again. "Anyways, I just need to bring her purse to her. She's so forgetful." I smiled as he pulled into the parking lot of a restaurant. He quickly handled what he needed to do and came back to the car. Soon, we were on our way to the house.

It took us nearly 25 minutes to make it there. He turned onto a dark semi-lit street and drove silently until we turned into the driveway of a two story town house.

"So who else lives here?" I asked as we got out of the car and I retrieved my suitcase.

"Um, it's Me, Sunila, Luca, Trinity, Frisk, Cassie, Jacob and now you." He smiled. I gave a nervous chuckle at all the names as we entered the house.

The first thing I took in was the amount of mess that littered the walkway and living room. I could barely see the floor as clothes, trash, and musical items covered it like a blanket.

"Excuse the mess." Sanjay rubbed the back of his neck. "Having seven people in one place can become hard to maintain..."

"Right..." I walked further in and jumped in surprise as a small black and white dog came barreling around the corner, barking at me.

"And who are you?" I cooed as I squatted to the dogs level.

"That's just Hamilton." Sanjay replied, gently pushing the pup away with his foot. "He belongs to Cassie. Anyways, follow me and I'll show you where you sleep." I nodded and he led me up the stairs. A pair of french doors came into view at the top of steps before we turned, heading down a hall.

That must have been his father's room. I thought as we passed an office that was covered in trash, dust, and junk food. He and Sunila must use it now.

Five years ago, Sanjay's father had passed away and with him being the only relative, he inherited this house-fully paid off- and millions of dollars. He was set for life and really didn't need to do anything else. However, Luca told me from one of his letters that Sanjay had wanted to work instead of just lazing around the house. So now the both of them work together as teachers at a music school, Sanjay on the cello and Luca on the piano and drums.

"Here's the room you'll be staying in. But...there's something you should know." he hesitated in front of the room door and I narrowed my eyes at him.

"What am I supposed to-" Just before I could finish my question the door to the room opened and there stood Luca in a long sleeved grey shirt and black pants. His black curly hair was brushed back, showing off his dark green eyes.

"Hi, roommate!" he said with a huge smile.

"What?" I turned to Sanjay, who was looking away. "Sanjay."

"Look, Ana." he put his hands up in surrender. "I'm sorry. I know it's weird, but it's the only space left in the house. Hell, Frisk and Trinity are sleeping on the floor in the living room. There's a couch in this room though, so at least one of you can sleep in the bed and the other on that." He stared at me a bit longer before pursing his lips. "Please understand, Anais."

"I understand." I said with a sigh. "But Sanjay, if you didn't have any more room, you could have just told me so."

"He didn't want to though." I turned to Luca, who was still smiling. "He was really excited to have you come back, was I." A blush rose to my cheeks and I glanced away from him out of embarrassment. "Your letters really had me worried about you. You seemed to have been having a hard time."

"Can you bear with this, Anais?" Sanjay asked, giving me an apologetic look. "I didn't want to turn you down. You're my friend. So, is it okay if you stayed in this room?" Silence filled the hallway before I sighed and nodded my head. Sanjay gave me a huge smile before hugging me.

"My room is the one with the french doors." he said as he stepped away. "Just knock if you need anything, okay?" And with that, he walked away leaving Luca and I alone.

"I'll help you with that." he grabbed my suitcase from me and brought it into the room. With another sigh, I entered after him and nearly choked.

Fast food bags, ash from smoking, and clothes were tossed everywhere. His dresser had a keyboard on it and there was a small drum set cramped in one corner. Empty bottles of soda, weed particles and burger wrappers covered the floor.

"I'm sorry about this mess." He put my suitcase in the overstuffed closet before trying to pick up some of the trash and clothes. He cleared the couch and gestured for me to sit, but I declined politely.

"It's okay...I think I'll just sit here." I pointed to a black stool and sat down.

"Here," Luca went into the closet and pulled out a thin sheet and a blanket. "I'll take the couch. You can have the bed." I looked at his bed, taking in the messed up sheets and small piles of clothes.

"It's okay. I'll be fine on the couch." I stood up and grabbed the sheet and blanket from him.

"Are you sure?" he asked as I laid the sheet over the couch and then put the blanket on top. I nodded my head and thanked him as he handed me a pillow. I was finally settled in. I sat on the couch and he stared at me from his bed.

"Could you show me where the bathroom is? I'd like to shower." he perked up at my question and nodded before standing. I went to the closet and retrieved my pajamas, towel, and body wash before I followed him out of the room. He opened a door in the middle of the hallway and gestured inside.

"Here you go." he said. "You'll have to excuse the mess in here too...sorry."

I stepped past him an entered the bathroom only to have my frown deepen. Strewn across the floor was someones clothes and bath towel. The counter was filled with dirt and dirty clothes and the sink was spotted with toothpaste and grime. To my right was another door that opened to the actual bathtub and toilet which made me cringe really badly. The trashcan next to the toilet was overflowing with tissue that was stained red from whatever was wrapped inside of it. The toilet itself was pretty much forever discolored from dirt and...other things. And the god the tub.

"Um..." I stepped out of the bathroom and gave him a small smile. "On second thought, I'm really tired. I'll just take it in the morning."

"I know it's pretty gross." Luca commented as we made our way back to the room. "I'll clean it for you before I head to work."

"No, it's fine." I said as I packed everything back into my bag. "I'll clean it. Don't worry about it."

"Are you sure?" Luca asked as he sat on his bed. I made my way to the couch and plopped down on it, giving him a nod. "Okay...well good night."

"Good night." I watched as he turned the light off and got underneath his covers, facing the wall. The curtains to his room were opened, letting me get a view of the dimly lit street below and the night sky.

With a yawn, I got underneath the blanket he gave me and laid my head on the pillow. My energy started to drain as my body began to shutdown for a good nights rest.
