Long ago, two races ruled over Earth:

Humans and Monsters.

One day, war broke out between the two races.

After a long battle, the humans were victorious.

They sealed the monsters underground with a magic spell.

Legends say that those who climb Mount Ebott never return.

Only eight children from the town by the mountain dared to do so.

The last child was a boy named Frisk. He was a kind, determined child. Like the other seven children, he never returned.

A few months after Frisk's disappearance someone else climbed the mountain. Her name was Sara.

She was an innocent, kind person. It's like she gave everyone hope. Except she didn't have many friends and she was an orphan. She ran away from her orphanage and her problems.

She remembered falling down a hole when she was climbing Mount Ebott. She will have to give her hope to everyone underground.

Because when she fell down, things weren't that well underground.

Sara's POV:

I opened my eyes in the darkness. I remembered falling down a hole in the mountain. I remember running away from my past, like the bullies in the orphanage. I wanted to be alone, so I climbed the mountain.

I looked around and realized I was on a bed of golden flowers. Where am I now? It looked like I was in the ruins of some place I got up and brushed myself off. I should probably find a way out of these ruins. I wonder if there's anyone here. There have been stories about monsters who killed anyone that climbed the mountain and fell down the hole. I don't want that to be me. I called out for help...

But nobody came.

I started walking through the ruins until I came upon another golden flower. It wasn't a normal flower though, it had a face! My eyes went wide, surprised.

''Howdy. I'm Flowey, Flowey the Flower. You must be a human that fell down the mountain. Welcome to the underground. What's your name?''

''I'm uh, Sara. It's nice to meet you. Do you think there's a way to get out of here? And is there anyone else down here?''

The flower put on a creepy smile.

''Hee hee hee. There's NO way out of this place. In order to leave, someone must take your soul, or you take theirs. And ALL the innocent humans who fell down here, died, so you won't get any help.''

''What? Does that mean I'm going to die down here? And, can you take my soul?''

''Well you see, I'm a weak little flower so I'm not strong enough to take your sould. I know penty of monsters that can take your soul though. What I can do is I can show you your soul.''

The flower winked at me and a glowing green heart appeared in my chest. I can't believe I'm actually seeing my own soul from a talking flower. The flower smiled and started speaking.

''Interesting. Your soul is green. That means you are a very kind person, but do you really think your kindness will save you from the monsters who want to kill you? It won't, because in this world, it's kill or be killed. So you better start thinking of something. I'll see you later Sara. Bye bye!''

The flower went back into the ground. I stood there, confused and scared. Are the stories about monsters killing humans true? Or maybe that flower is lying. Maybe there'sgood in monsters too. What do I do now though? I guess I can proceed through the ruins to see if there's a way out.

I started walking through the ruins and it was quiet, like silent hill. There was nobody in the ruins, like it has been abandoned years ago. I eventually came across a small house, I entered the house, hoping to find another human. There was a living room with a fireplace, it's coals were ice cold. I

I walked down a hallway and there was two empty bedrooms and a mirror at the end of the hallway. I looked at myself in the mirror.

Despite everything, it was still me.

I went down some stairs and walked through another long hallway. I kept walking down hallways until I saw that annoying, gold flower again. What does he want this time?

''You seem awfully confused. I bet you're wondering where everyone is. Afterall, it seems like nothing is right, huh?''

''What happened to all the monsters? Did you kill them? Or did someone else kill them?''

''Well you see... All the monsters are gone. Or at least most of them. The last human... Frisk...He's the one to blame. He slaughtered every monster he came across...until...until there were only three left. One of them is me, and well, everything's been sad and quiet since then.''

I couldn't believe the last child, Frisk, fell down here and killed everything. I felt bad for Flowey so I spoke.

''Aww, I'm so sorry Flowey. I-I didn't know about that. You must really be sad.''

He gave me another creepy smile and spoke.

''You don't understand. I have NO soul. I cannot feel anything. So even if you try to be kind to me, I won't feel your kindness. I can't feel pitty! There's nothing I can do to fix this, but YOU can. You can erase everything.''

I look at him with a confused face and spoke again.

''What? What do you mean I can erase everything? How can I even do that?''

His creepy smile disappeared.

''Well all humans who come down here have the power to reset. They have this thing called DETERMINATION, and it allows them to go back in time. They could do it manually, or if they die they have the choice between resetting and continuing from their last SAVE point. But that means you will have to start your journey and face all the monsters who want to kill you.''

I thought about it. I could fix everything but I could die.

''Look, I'm not forcing you to reset but if you want to get out of here, you'll have to defeat the Kind Asgore and take his soul to cross the barrier. Then we can wait for another human to save us. Hee hee hee, I better get going. See ya later!''

I kept walking and I began to feel a bit nervous, I had a feeling someone was watching me. I kept walking until my heart skipped a beat...

And a twig snapped behind me...
