She stepped forward towards the shore and felt a shiver as the cold waves touched her skin.

She stepped back and stumbled as she felt the rocks piercing the bottom of her bare feet.

She stepped forward again and felt a strong gush of wind that blew her dress in one direction and hair in the other.

She stepped back, using her arms to balance herself, afraid of stumbling again.

With more confidence, she stepped forward again, but the sun threatened to blind her vision.

So, she stepped back, her mind a maze of indecisive thoughts.

Should she step forward or step back?

The wild waves of the ocean were inviting her to step forward; the sound of them hitting the rocks so enchanting, it made the rest of the world feel silent.

But the warmth of the sun and the ocean breeze were inviting her to step back and give this world one more chance.

Her mind stepped forward, but her feet stepped back. Then her mind stepped back, but her feet stepped forward.

Where would she find her happiness? In a step forward or a step back?

Step, step, until you find it.
