The day dawned crisp,invigorating and with a vivacious disposition. The agrarian village was still drowsing,tossing restlessly in its aching bed after a whole backbreaking day labour the dwellers had spent in the fields attempting to tame the hostile climate and scratch the desolate earth for a living ,when the advanced in years,yellow-toothed with nicotine-stained fingers uncle Sassy ,the only posât man or bicycle messenger in the area,woke up after apparently a traumatized,restive night he devoted to chasing cats,which he postulâtes in his brittle,breathy voice " only rejoice at mating under my worn out window " " can't they copulate elsewhere ?" he once stormed before adding :" they must be ridiculous if they assume my domicile is the spot on,archetypal dreamland for their amorous advances " .....
