He’s been watching the two worlds operate and decided to drag people from each world and put them on an island, erasing their memories to see who could survive. Among the group comes two people from each world. Nightwing and Green arrow from DCU and the Winter Soldier and Captain America from the Marvel Universe. The four men all forget their past, forget their heroic egos, forget their identities and are forced to find their way home but only one can survive. They can either team up to face the odds, traps, and monsters of the island to make it to the end point where they’d fight to the death or try and survive the odds on their own, robbing the others of helpful supplies along the way facing the monstrosities of the island alone. They will be faced with starvation, cold, and foes.

The light was blinding to him as he slowly opened his eyes, the first image fleeting across his sight was a green leaf blowing in the wind just above his face making it very apparent that he wasn’t home. The sound of wind rustling through the trees made a perfect melody with the sound of the ocean. He sat up slowly with a soft groan from the pain in his pounding skull while the smell and taste of sea salt filled his senses, leaving him to ponder how he got here… Yet his curiosity seemed to run so much  deeper. The raven haired male slowly looked down at his hands before his icy blue gaze shifted upwards to fall upon the other three men whom sat on the sandy beach seemingly in an equal amount of confusion and pain. His mind drifted into numerous questions all of which seeming to overlap with one another, Who am I? How did I get here? What happened? The young male slowly brought himself to stand as he slowly walked over to the rolling ocean, watching as the waves touched his shoes, “Where the hell am I?” He said much louder than he was aware of.

“I don’t know but it sure as hell isn’t a vacation spot…. Something about this scenario is familiar” A blonde male spoke as his hand ran through his beard deep in thought, he soon shook his head and looked at the small group of men before he took initiative to speak, “Well we mine as well introduce ourselves, I’ll start. I’m Oliver Queen and I have no idea where the hell I am.”

The raven haired male took his gaze off the sea and looked towards Oliver before clearing his throat, “Dick” he said simply not putting much thought into the words that just slid off his tongue.

“Hey! I’m just trying to get to know you at least a little because from what I can tell none of us know what the hell is going on” The male responded in a defensive tone.

The young raven haired male soon shook his head and put his hands up to show he meant no threat, “No that’s not what I meant… My name.. Richard Grayson but I go by Dick… Do any of you remember anything? I don’t remember anything except my name” He spoke, turning his attention to the other two men on the beach.

Another blonde male shook his head just before his hand ran through his hair, “No… I don’t remember anything… Just darkness before I woke up” He said as the group looked at the male disappointed at the lack of answers, “All I remember is my name, Steve Rogers…” The males blue eyes shifted to meet a brunettes brown eyes sharing a gaze that seemed nearly memorable. The stare lasted until Steve's gaze shifted to the familiar strangers metal arm. Which made the stranger clear his throat before crossing his arms and remain silent almost as though he were uncomfortable with the why his arm was made of steel.

“Well regardless of what we remember… What we know...  it’s our job to figure out what’s happening…. What about you? What’s your name?” Dick asked the metal armed man.

The male flashed Dick a very unamused look, it was very nearly a glare and the voice that followed most certainly wasn’t one out of a kind nature, “Does it matter? We can stand around and introduce ourselves all we want but that’s not going to get us any damn answers”

“Ahhh so you awaken!!” A voice soon rung out through the trees as though the fourth males voice awoke a hidden being, “Welcome to my island! A world of inbetween! Some of you are from different worlds… Some of you share worlds.. You each have a history. A past. But as you’ve probably noticed it’s all gone. You are left here with a clean slate. So lets begin… I want you all to play a game. In the center of this island your answers wait but fair warning there are beasts in the woods!” The voice said with a soft chuckle of amusement, “Surely if you all band together you won’t have a problem… Not far from you is a weapons cache filled with weapons your previous selves were acquaintanced with… But here’s the catch if you join sides, when you make it to the center of the island… If you want your answers or an opportunity to go home well, then you have to kill the other three. Or you can skip the backstabbing drama and stand alone. Your choice.”

“And if we don’t play your game?” Oliver asked looking around for a more specific source of the sound.

“Then I destroy both your universes…. Now let the games begin” The voice spoke before fading out leaving the men in silence.

The brunette glanced around before walking over to an odd capsule like object that protruded from the ground and grasped it with his left arm. He paused to stare at the steel prosthetic suggesting a hint of curiosity as to what happened to his actual arm. The male shrugged off the thought before slowly ripping the capsule open revealing guns, escrima sticks, a bow with some arrows and an old shield. He let out a soft chuckle before he began grabbing the guns not at all being generous or even considering sharing.

Dick sighed and looked to the ground before looking up at everyone whom had begun getting their share of the weaponry, “I say we work together… Get to the center of the island and see- Hey where the hell are you going?!” He interrupted himself as he noticed the unnamed stranger starting to take leave.

“I’m going to get my memory back, have fun making a botched plan” The male said coldly as he stepped into the woods.

Dick was quick to follow the stranger not wanting to split up from the others, he’d feel awful if anyone died due to a lack of community. “Hey! Look man your whole mysterious, lone wolf ass-”The male quickly found himself cut off as the strangers left hand grasped around his throat cutting off the airway. He didn’t speak as his brown eyes just bore into the raven hairs soul before he released him and continued on his way. Dick let out a low growl before glaring at the male, “Fine! You wanna get yourself killed! I won’t stop you!” He yelled out only to get no response.

“I….I hate to say it but… I think steely has a good plan in place.. Who’s to say you guys won’t screw me over once we get there? By myself I know I have a chance” Oliver said with a voice full of doubt and melancholy as he looked at the bow he now held in his hands.

This negative perspective got Steves attention, and though he could relate to what the male was saying he saw hope in trying, “It’s about trust, Oliver”

“Yeah? Well excuse me for not trusting a bunch of men who don’t even have a grasp on who they are…. I’m sorry but… I’m out” Oliver said with a sigh before he walked into the dense green brush.

Dick and Steve exchanged a silent look that was followed by a nod before they headed off together into the forest unaware of what may lie ahead.

It was safe to say all the men felt a sense of anxiety, a sense of dread. But despite not remembering their pasts they were built to endure the worst of circumstances and had the confidence to know they would survive the odds…. Or would they?
