"Huh?" Vindris was perplexed at the sight he saw. He was no longer in his chair, in front of his computer, playing his favorite MMO. Instead, he was inside of it.
DragonWrath

The game was developed by Takuma Software, a company mainly focused on the creation of computer software that either allowed your computer to bring your desktop to the limit or create other kinds of programs, like games, for instance. Along with DragonWrath, Takuma had also released Red Ring, an Adventure game. Takuma was one of the giants of computer development, along with multiple other companies.
Vindris tried to move his limbs but found it alien and unfamiliar, he couldn't feel his muscles. He Couldn't move. The only things he could move were his eyes. He used his sight to see what was wrong, and he soon understood why he was in such a predicament.

He was his skeletal avatar from the game, an Eclipse Lich. Vindris focused and tried to move his toe and finger muscles. He though he could resolve this problem in a similar way to how he got rid of his constant Sleep Paralysis. In 20 minutes he could move the lower half of his body and his arms. His neck and upper body muscles refused to move. After another 10 minutes, they were able to finally move properly off of the ground with assistance from his staff. "I feel sorry for Undead Warriors. They probably can't even get off the ground for now" He thought in his head, walking steadily with the help of his staff. The black cloak he wore trailed behind him in the wet grass, drenching the tip.
Vindris glanced around the city, taking in the scenery. "This is the city of Luminia, isn't it? I wouldn't mistake it for anything". The DragonWrath servers were all named after one of the Primal elements of magic. For instance, the European server was the element of light, for instance. He knew the North American server was Igni: Fire, and the South American server was Aqua: Water. Each server offered a different experience, which id anger some fans because they couldn't play the experience they wanted in a server of their language, but most were content.
A question still lingered in his mind, clawing at his brain like an itch.

"What happened?"

It was a question he had no basis for a proper answer, but he could make an educated guess based on the facts. For instance...

The Expansion.
The 15th anniversary of DragonWrath was on this day and, along with it, an expansion: Crusade Of The Red Cross. The Expansion apparently brought in new Weapons, armour, monsters, dungeons, even skill trees and a new Class. He knew none of the features other than these broad terms as all was known was then name and wild speculation, based on only the previous expansions.
Vindris noticed something. People in shock, some yelling 'what the hell is going on?!' or other terms to display disbelief, others were crying, releasing their emotions with tears instead of rage. the rest were remaining silent, with only a vacant expression.

Vindris felt a buzz within his skull, it didn't hurt but it was irritating, just like a phone buzzing. He tried to remember the pose the Avatar made when engaging with the game's voice chat. He put his index and middle finger to in front of the area where his ear would be and a shorter and higher pitched beep rang in his head. "Yes? who is this?" He asked, not looking at his menu to look (if he could even do that). A familiar voice spoke within his skull, a voice he hadn't heard in a while.

"Hey, Vindris!" how're you doing? I'l guess not that good". It was Fenris, a friend of his over the game, even though they never met in real life, they considered each other friend and comrades. "Yeah, Fenris. Where are you? the Luminous tree? Pearly gates?". Fenris chuckled and then replied. "I'm at the tree. I'm with Draenor right now. Get over here, as a ninja one said". Vindris understood Fenris' reference and groaned in dissatisfaction. "I'll be over in a minute" Vindris finished as he ended the call.

"Time to meet some Old Friends".
