Life isn't perfect,

For anybody.

Everyone has a story

Everyone has secrets

Nobody has the perfect life

EVER

You see her walking down the hall

(Perfectly hiding her limp)

She has the perfect make-up

(Covering the bruises)

The cute little dress

(Something that keeps her here)

The volleyball jersey in her locker

(An escape from her father at home)

He walks past and smiles

(An image he has mastered by now)

He finishes his homework every night

(To stop the teachers from asking questions)

Everyday he heads straight home

(To get to his job that pays the bills)

He is everyone's favorite guy

(So his sibings know what to become)

Everyone that you will ever see has secrets

They have a past no one will know

Day after day people struggle

Day after day people wear masks

Day after day people begin to realize

Nobody has the perfect life

EVER
