Long ago I should have seen,

All the things we could have been.

A friend,

My Family.

Your smile was warm,

Although your heart was torn.

A broken heart from a broken home,

When you was all alone.

We found you.

Happiness expressed,

Yet it wasn’t possessed.

Tangled up with emotion.

The mind spoke louder than the heart,

And said ‘After your death you will be what you were before your birth’.

A moment of truth was all it took,

For whatever was waiting for you,

Could only be better than before.

Tears and broken hearts,

Why did you have to depart?

No goodbye,

No warning.

Just a note.

The unexpected fate,

A fate that could have been prevented.
