A war has ranged in his mind like fire on an oil line,
The two sides have split him up,
The good, the bad, the real and fake,
He has endured a long strife,

in result has only been knocked out.
He had tried to walk up right,

never to bend, never to bow,
He the master of his own will has stood up to what was his right
Many have stumbled, many have cried,
He was there for every scratch,
He has mended many a soul, many a life, but never have any mended his.
They taught him to be strong, but he became stronger,
they taught him to be caring but he became loving.
Finally they taught him to trust and he became trust worthy.
He has heard many a story, of lives lost, lives burnt to ash, but never has anyone asked him his.
He wishes they know, to remove a weight but they are not interested.
He trusted some but only some,
but who would have thought that he would be stabbed,
never thought that it could be them, he least expected his closest trust, to draw blood and he trusted him no more.

A hole has formed in his soul, an emptiness he cannot describe.
